Gracie Phoenix is an independant music artist, producer, and film maker creating a distinctive blend of hip-hop, R&B, and cinematic sound. Her music combines underground East Coast influences with introspective storytelling, heavy drums, atmospheric textures, and emotionally driven vocals. Working across music and visual media, she approaches each project as an opportunity to tell a story and create a complete artistic experience.

As an independent creator, Gracie Phoenix uses music and film making as a way to explore identity, relationships, resilience, transformation, and the experiences that shape people. Her songwriting often balances vulnerability with confidence, creating songs that feel personal while remaining relatable to a wider audience. Rather than following a single formula, she experiments with different sounds, tempos, vocal approaches, and production techniques to develop a recognizable creative style.

Her artistic process also reflects the changing landscape of modern music production. Gracie Phoenix incorporates emerging technologies and AI-assisted tools into her creative workflow while maintaining an active role in developing concepts, lyrics, arrangements, production direction, and the overall artistic vision. This allows her to explore ideas that cross traditional boundaries between songwriting, beatmaking, recording, and visual storytelling.

Beyond individual songs, Gracie Phoenix is developing a broader creative brand through projects that connect music with animation, graphic design, filmmaking, and digital media.

Her work reflects an interest in creating not only music that can be heard, but worlds that can be experienced visually and emotionally.

With an independent mindset and a growing multimedia skill set, Gracie Phoenix represents a new generation of creators who are using accessible technology to build their own artistic platforms. Her goal is to continue developing original music and visual projects while establishing a recognizable identity as a producer, composer, beatmaker, and creative artist.

Gracie Phoenix is not defined by one genre or one medium. Her work is centered on creative freedom, storytelling, experimentation, and the belief that an artist can build an entire creative universe from their own ideas.

Since I was young, I was always happy to hear
any kind of music that gave me goosebumps. It could be any genre. I’m an 80’s baby, so I grew up listening to everything from Classic Rock to Blues, thanks to my parents and grandparents.

My biggest musical inspiration is Sade, Anita Baker, Michael Jackson and Genesis with Phil Collins. Though, my emerging musical identity is African music and Hip Hop fused with R&B. I gravitated more towards finding aspiring music artists and giving them a platform to be heard, since it was a better fit for me.

I believe I’ve always had an ear for musical talent, so I created a radio show called Afro-Deeziak Radio where I introduced African music artists to the United States, and 6 years later, we're finally hearing Afrobeats on the radio.

I discovered African music by traveling to Senegal and Congo, Brazzaville in 2009. The music I heard over there blew my mind and I had to find a way to get it in front of American music lovers, so that’s what I did!

I wanted to get the education and knowledge on how to make money from my efforts, so I decided to go to school and learn the foundation of the music business so I can be successful in my future endeavors.

I’m still  branding my own musical arts because I am a gifted writer when I’m inspired, I’m just not a performer and I don’t necessarily like recording either. I’m shy.

My music talks about learning from my mistakes and becoming a better person because of what I learned. I write Hip Hop music mixed with R&B and it’s for anyone who wants to turn their lives around in a positive way.

In life we all have challenges, and I believe that writing about my experiences can help me express my feelings out loud. Sharing my music could also help others feel brave and accepted at the same time.

What makes my music different from everything else out there is that it’s peaceful and honest. My music is something that everyone can relate to because we all have the same emotions. I believe in bringing the world together through music and that’s exactly what I plan to do.
